Grand Avenue Gym - When I have boxing lessons (which unfortunately hasn’t been lately), I have them at this gym with Janna Piper as my instructor.
Salle Trois Armes - I’ve been a member of this St. Johns fencing club since 2005, which is also when I began fencing. I fence épée and saber, and am unrated in both.
United States Fencing Association - Member since 2005. Most fencing clubs will want you to become a USFA member prior to joining.

Columbia River Gorge - For hiking, I spend more time in the Gorge than anywhere else. I’ve been hiking and camping at Mt. Saint Helens a few times, and recently visited Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge for the first time. I like the Foghorn Outdoors Oregon Hiking and Washington Hiking guides as hike resources.
Portland Dancing - A great site that lists upcoming dances, all sorts of styles, from Balkan to West Coast Swing (WCS).

Tsugawa Nursery - A Woodland, WA nursery with a great variety of plants. They also specialize in bonsai and sometimes offer bonsai workshops (which I plan to attend as soon as I replace the starter bonsai I accidentally killed).
Paul Collins and George Johnson are two great writers who have influenced my own writing directly. Paul was my grad school advisor, and George was the workshop leader for my assigned group at the Santa Fe Science-Writing Workshop.

Macaw Landing Foundation - I was a volunteer here in 2004 and 2005, feeding and cleaning up after approx. 20 macaws in the small aviary and 70 in the large aviary.
